This 5-door, 4-seat pure electric SUV is unique and often attracts attention. RH-steer with A/C, power windows, fold-down rear seats, dual-mode speed control, etc. In Europe and China, because of small motor size and low top speed, this vehicle does not need registration, license plates, nor does driver need a driving permit. Maximum range of base version on single charge is 100km, but with the solar roof feature and range-extending motor, this vehicle can manage without charging for much more than that. The range extending 3L gasoline engine adds another 100km of range, and the roof is continuously charging the battery, given the sunshine in Cayman. The range extender is a small, internal combustion engine (ICE) that recharges the SUV's battery when no charge left. It serves as a secondary onboard power generator, in addition to the solar roof. Top speed is a very modest 55km/h (34mph) so not really suitable for any extended driving on public roads - but ideal for very short commutes, use on a large private property like a park, farm, hotel or other large tourist facility, etc.
