Plug-in hybrid, electric & gas, best of both worlds
One of the most outstanding vehicles produced as part of China's "new energy" effort (EVs and hybrids), this "real" hybrid combines luxury, spacious comfort, and economical operation in a sleek and environmentally-friendly package. This 4-door, 5-seat, full-size sedan is a "PHEV" or plug-in hybrid which can be charged from an extemal source (like a pure EV), and of course filled with gas. It can be driven using its conventional gas engine, with no need to ever charge the battery, or driven exclusively using its electric motor. And each can be "fueled" externally. In contrast, an MHEV - or "mild hybrid EV" - can only be filled with gas. It can also be driven by gas engine or electric motor, but the smaller battery in a MHEV cannot be charged externally - it's charged solely by regenerative braking - and really only offers modest electrical assistance to the gas engine. The BID Qin is fully equipped: LH-steer, dual-zone A/C, automatic (CVT) transmission, exhaustive list of electronic features, 4-wheel disc brakes, 4-wheel fully independent suspension, alloy wheels, USB, USB-C & 12V charging ports, remote start/keyless start & entry, Bluetooth hands-free, large touch LED screen, automatic headlights, adjustable steering wheel, tire pressure monitoring system, WIFI-capable, reversing camera, leather seats, multi-selection drive modes, 6-speaker audio system, etc. Holds up to 48L of gas for the 1.5L transversally-mounted engine, while battery offers an additional electric motor range of 120km. Top speed is 185km/h.
